To meet the needs of implant, geriatric and TMJ patients, Heraeus Kulzer launched its Mondial 8i-5° posterior tooth line. "New indication areas such as implant prosthetics are placing increased demands on the stability, function and esthetics of denture teeth," said Lesley Melvin, Heraeus Laboratory Product Manager. "That's why we've worked so closely with leading technicians to ensure that our Mondial 8i-5° posterior teeth complement our existing Mondial and Mondial i teeth to give dental practices and laboratories a comprehensive denture teeth line that is unsurpassed for its natural appearance, comfort and reliability."
Like Mondial and Mondial i teeth, Mondial 8i-5° posteriors feature Heraeus' NanoPearls® filler material that offers color stability and resistance to fracture, abrasion and plaque. Since the manufacturing process is identical, all three lines can be used in combination.
The key features of the new tooth line are:
•The flat occlusal morphology of the teeth ensure precise centrics and freedom in the paths of movement. The naturally reduced cusp angle minimizes shear forces and offers chewing efficiency with comfortable, interference-free, accurate function.
The flattened multipoint contact area of the teeth minimizes the initial abrasion on implant cases. They offer a smooth, functional and easily cleaned morphology for geriatric patients and are ideal for TMJ therapy because of their exact centric keying and wide range of motion.
•The wider tooth base offers esthetics in both implant and combination work and allows shaping of the gums so the patient can easily clean his prosthesis. The greater basal width and tooth length conceal the tertiary and implant structures.
•Because of the unique centrics, technicians can set up the Mondial 8i-5° posteriors easily and securely.
