"For the next 20 years, 10,000 people will reach the age of 65 on a daily basis," said Max Sturm, President of Candulor, during a press conference at LAB DAY. "In addition, 12% of all dentures are now implant supported and we expect to see 6.5% growth in this area next year."
To meet this increasing demand and help laboratories fabricate esthetic and functional dentures, the company announced several new removable products, including:
• Bite Fork--an instrument for checking the correct position of the occlusal plane--has been reworked and is now available in a set with four removable vertical pins.
• Tooth Sieve is a time-saving aid for sorting, boiling out and cleaning single teeth.
• Strong, elastic and transparent Silicone Mixing Bowls for acrylic feature a suction cup on the bottom to prevent sliding and come in three sizes.
• New products for dentists, including the Clinical Instrument Set that helps dentists provide the laboratory with necessary denture measurements, and two new intraoral registration sets: the CRS Set 10 for full dentures and the CRS Set 15 for dentate, partially edentulous as well as fully edentulous jaws.
