Todd Cochran

Todd Cochran, CDT, is presenting on behalf of 3M ESPE.

Roger Dawson

Roger Dawson, CDT, a senior technical specialist for 3M, has experience in implant dentistry and is involved in the development of the Lava™ implant abutment, Lava DVS (Digital Veneering System) and other digital oral care innovations. He has trained and provided technical input for 3M on Lava zirconia and digital CAD/CAM dentistry since 2006 and lectures internationally. He has owned two laboratories and earned his certification in 1981.

Tay Gavin Harvey

Tay Gavin Harvey is the global implant business manager for IMTEC, a 3M company. She specializes in the development and technical management of all implant products, and is currently overseeing IMTEC's implant certification of dental laboratories, enabling them to become actively involved in small diameter implants.

Amanda Hatfield

Amanda Hatfield, RDH, BS, MS, has practiced as a clinical hygienist for four years, and has presented to large dental groups on topics ranging from patient case presentation to building a profitable hygiene department. She has presented for the North Carolina Hygiene Association and participates in the OMNI Study Club.

Keith Henry

Keith Henry is the global laboratory and digital business manager for IMTEC, a 3M company. He has trained over 1,000 clinicians and technicians throughout North America on the Celara denture technique, and is currently overseeing the development and implementation of IMTEC's Partner Laboratory program.

Roger Johansen

Roger Johansen, CDT, operates a business consulting company and works for 3M as an instructor and on new product development for its Lava Precision Solutions. Trained in the U.S. Navy and with more than 20 years of experience, he opened a laboratory in Colorado in 1997, specializing in CAD/CAM technology. He served as president of the Colorado Dental Laboratory Association and on the board of trustees from 2003 to 2005, during which time he worked with the state legislature and local government agencies to write the Colorado Dental Practice legislation and develop tax strategy to benefit dental prosthetic manufacturing businesses.

Sang Jun

Sang Jun, CDT, has over 28 years of experience and is the owner and master ceramist of Bay Dental Laboratory and the founder of the Monterey Academy of Science and Art in Monterey, CA. He has studied under world-renowned ceramist Willi Geller and presents workshops and lectures internationally to share his unique methodology. Jun has published numerous articles and serves on the Editorial Advisory Board of Practical Procedures & Aesthetic Dentistry and Collaborative Techniques.

Ed McLaren

A prosthodontist and master ceramist, Ed McLaren, DDS, MDC, has written over 30 articles on his techniques and research-related topics. He is currently the director of the UCLA Center for Esthetic Dentistry, and the director of the UCLA School for Esthetic Design, which provides full-time and mini-residency programs for lab technicians. McLaren maintains a private practice limited to prosthodontics and esthethic dentistry for which he does all of his own ceramics.

Stanley Okon

Stanley Okon, CDT, is the principal of Stanley Okon Dental Laboratory, Inc., in southern California which opened in 1973, and now specializes in all-porcelain restorations, implants, custom implant abutments, implant restorations and precision attachments. In 2004, Okon established Stanley Okon Milling Center, Inc., which offers 3M ESPE Lava™ crown and bridge frameworks; custom zirconia abutments fabricated using Straumann etkon CAD/CAM technology; and NobelGuide planning for precision implant surgical guides. He has lectured on behalf of major dental manufacturers, and served on the board of directors of the DLOAC, acting as president in 1993 and 1994. Okon is currently a member and the preferred lab of the Orange County Chapter of the Seattle Study Club and is involved with several implant study clubs.

Benjamin Oppenheimer

Benjamin Oppenheimer, DDS, received his degree from the University of Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. A fellow in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, Oppenheimer has lectured and authored scientific journal articles on minimally invasive implantology, and teaches courses on comprehensive implant techniques including bone grafting, sinus elevation and cone beam CT technology. He and his wife, Julia Oppenheimer, DDS, run a full-time private practice in Buffalo, NY.

Dennis Ouye

Dennis Ouye, CDT, president of LDL Designs, Inc. in Berkeley, CA, is a long-time clinician. He's held technician courses with Dr. Harry Albers at the University of California at San Francisco and University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, and has also taught ceramics at Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill, CA. For 15 years, he was an LMT technical columnist and, since 2005, he's been a consultant and clinician for 3M.

Dick Pilsner

Richard Pilsner, CDT, is the owner and president of D&S Dental Laboratory, Inc., in Waunakee, WI, a certified laboratory founded in 1972.

Jack Ringer

Dr. Jack Ringer, DDS, devotes about 75% of his time to practicing contemporary esthetic dentistry in his private practice in Orange County, CA. The remainder of this time, he teaches, trains and lectures on cosmetic to dentists. A published author and member of numerous dental associations, Ringer is currently on faculty at Esthetic Professionals in Tarzana, CA and the Spear Institute, Scottsdale, AZ.

Rick Sabo

Rick Sabo is the CAD/CAM technician at Sabo Dental Lab in Oakdale, MN, and has worked with the Lava ST Lab Scanner since June 2008, when Sabo Dental Lab became a 3M authorized Lava Design Center. He graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in 2007 with a degree in business management.

Steve Shimota

Steve Shimota is the Midwest region laboratory and digital product specialist for 3M ESPE. A 23-year veteran with the company, he has lectured throughout the U.S. and internationally on a variety of dental-related topics and is enrolled in the Masters of Business Administration program at the University of St. Thomas.

Brad Slominski

Brad Slominski, CDT, is the co-owner of Dental Crafters, a full-service laboratory, and DC Milling, a 3M Authorized Lava Milling Center, located in Marshfield, WI. He has been a lead technician at his second-generation laboratory for more than 20 years, specializing in crown and bridge and advanced esthetics.

Daniel Sorenson

Daniel Sorenson, CDT, is presenting on behalf of 3M ESPE.

Rhys Spoor

Rhys Spoor, DDS, graduated from the University of Washington in 1983. For 10 years he was an affiliate associate professor at the University of Washington Dental School. An editorial reviewer for the Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry, Spoor is a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and the Pierre Fauchard Scoiety, and an accredited member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He has been published internationally, and teaches advanced clinical programs to practicing dentists in the U.S. and abroad in esthetics and occlusion.

John Weston

As a commissioned officer in the U.S. Navy, John Weston, DDS, FAACD, completed a Hospital General Practice residency in San Diego and served independent duty in support of Desert Storm. An accredited fellow with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Weston is a past chair of the AACD Professional Education Committee and served two terms as an elected member of its board of directors. An active accreditation examiner who serves on the American Board of Cosmetic Dentistry, he is an international lecturer; published author; and the owner and director of srcipps Center for Dental Care, a multi-specialty dental center located at srcipps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla, CA.

Bonnie Zaborny

Bonnie Zaborny, RDH , has worked for 3M since 2001, bringing more than 30 years of experience in dental hygiene. She has lectured across the country for laboratory, dental hygiene and dental assisting programs and various dental and dental hygiene associations and study clubs.
