Alessandro Cucchiaro
Alessandro Cucchiaro, CDT, is a European technician with more than 25 years of experience; for 20 years he owned his own laboratory. Originally trained by Enrico Steger, owner of Zirkonzahn and the inventor of the company's manual milling system, Cucchiaro is the instructor for this system at the Zirkonzahn training facility in Atlanta, and lectures worldwide.

Enrico Steger
Enrico Steger is the inventor of the manual milling machine and the founder of Zirkonzahn. He studied in South Tyrol, Italy, and opened his laboratory in 1981. Today Zirkzonzahn is established in 15 countries and sells products in 60 states.

Mitch Unrath
Mitch Unrath grew up in Neckarsulm, Germany among three generations of dentists and dental technicians and studied dental technology for three years at Hoppenlauer School in Stuttgard, Germany. He served as a C&B technician for two years in the German army; and then opened Dental Lab Unrath in Prescot, AZ, specializing as a dental ceramist. Unrath also lectures and clinics worldwide.

He also presents his latest invention, the Prettau Bridge, a 100% zirconia restoration with the esthetics of a natural tooth without the use of ceramic. In addition, he shows a wide range of challenging cases from around the world, and discusses tricks that technicians can use to overcome problems.

Alessandro Cucchiaro, MDT, covers the ABCs of zirconia, including where it comes from and how it's obtained, and introduces the MAD/MAM milling system, briefly showing the original system developed in Europe in 2003. This easy-to-use and highly affordable method of producing zirconia copings can be used for single units to full bridges, as well as screw-retained bridges.
