This course, which features IPS e.max Press or CAD substructures, has been developed for ceramists that are experienced in the fabrication of All-Ceramic restorations and ready to take their build-ups to the next level of esthetics. Attendees will fabricate an 8-unit smile design case restoring a combination of crowns and veneers. Esthetic layering techniques will be accomplished by using a variety of IPS e.max Ceram materials. Topics covered will include: Lithium disilicate material science Smile design principles Ingot or block selection criteria Processing techniques for all-ceramic restorations Preparing lithium disilicate frameworks for layering ceramics Esthetic layering with e.max ceramic materials Creating natural contours and surface texture Proper shading and glazing techniques Preparation for cementation Note: Pre-course work is required for this course
