Porcelain Fused to Metal Workshop Featuring IPS InLine

In today's dental laboratory there is increasing pressure to produce high quality restorations using more efficient and cost effective methods. The IPS InLine system, while offering a full range of materials to support traditional layering of PFM restoration, also offers 2 distinctive materials perfectly suited to promote "lean manufacturing practices" in the dental laboratory. In this 2-day course, students will learn the principles and techniques for producing restorations with IPS InLine One (single layer ceramic) as well as IPS InLine PoM (Press-on-metal). The course curriculum will include:

•Principles of substructure design and surface preparation •Applying and firing opaque to metal ceramic substructures •Application and firing of InLine One single layer ceramic materials •Wax-up and pressing techniques for InLine PoM •Anatomic contouring •Creation of natural surface texture •Staining and glazing techniques
