Greg attended the Lexington Technical Institute. He is a Certified Dental Technician, a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, the Implant Prosthodontic Section of the IOIC and a member of the American College of Oral Implantologists.
He established Thayer Dental Laboratory in 1976. In 1983 it was recognized by INC. Magazine as part of the INC. 500, and it has been Certified Dental Laboratory since 1985.
In 1999, Greg built a 12,000 square foot, full service facility creating a state-of-the-art environment with leading-edge technologies and a high index of progressive services.
Greg's implant training began over twenty-five years ago. Since that time, he has successfully completed training in all the premier implant systems including Nobel Biocare, 3i, Zimmer, Friadent, Bio Horizons, Lifecore and ITI
Among his accomplishments, Greg has authored articles on dental practice marketing, which have been published by the Pennsylvania Dental Association. Additionally, Greg has held the posts of Trustee Advisor to the American Fund for Dental Health and Chairman of the Dental Laboratory Section of the American Dental Trade Association. He also has served with the National Association of Dental Laboratories on their Budget and Finance Committee, as a trustee for the National Board of Certification and is a past president of NADL and the Dental Resource Alliance.
Since 1998, the number of laboratories with websites increased by 39%. Today, 44% of labs have a site and another 16% plan to create one soon.
