Does anyone know of a clinic or class teaching all on 4 full arch zirconia?
It's been a while:) I've seen a "golden proportion" gauge but don't know where or how to purchase. Anyone have a lead? Thanks!
Educate me folks! We currently have a 3shape scanner/software. 1. What is your lab using for milling of zirconia frameworks, full contour zirconia crowns and why? 2. Is there an "open format" kind of way to accept E4D/Cerec files into 3shape software or is E4D and Cerec software/hardware specific? Thanks!! — tagged 3 topics
Hey all, in each of your opinion, what plastic articulators give you great results with the greatest ease of set up? We currently use "artimax" articulators and were looking to find something possibly more efficient. Just tell me what you like, and please, nobody dog what someone else uses. Thanks, you're all awesome! — tagged Articulation and Occlusion and Artimax®
Hey peeps, check out an app I stumbled onto called "Skitch" at the app store and google play. If you have an impression or die that the doctor needs to see, this app allows REALLY quick crop, arrows, circles, and notes that always stay above your animations. Hope you find this as useful as i do!
How about that.......Just picked up a doctor that felt like his current lab was "nickel and diming" him because he received an additional charge on his statement for a photo that he sent for reference that they felt was "overexposed". Doctor, ya' think?!
Can anyone direct me to some information on techniques to make night guards with a Buffalo Tray Vac or if it is even possible? Thanks!
Do you have that doctor that his preps look bigger than any other tooth in the mouth? Yeah, I called that doctor to ask him if he felt like our work was bulky and he replied with a very sarcastic "So you're saying I need to destroy more healthy dentition?" ..........Granted, I don't talk to this doctor a whole lot but these are the times that create hesitation in good doc/lab communication. *sigh*
Spoke to our accountant about the 2.3% excise tax. GOOD NEWS for labs! I asked him how we should deal with this new tax burden and he replied, "Do what most business's are going to do. Let go of enough employees to compensate since they are most labs highest expense. Obama knows this. Yeah,......he's brilliant (sarcasm)" Important election coming up folks, everyone get out and vote and get this guy back to organizing pancake feeds. — tagged Excise Tax
Anyone have any insight on a business credit card with the best perks or rewards? Not much on frequent flyer rewards, looking more for cash back or gifts:) We've always paid our bills by check and more and more of our docs are paying by credit because of the rewards so we thought we would follow the trend and see how we could benefit as well. Any insight would be appreciated! Thanks all!
Lots of new faces on the bridge and it's always great to see the familiar ones as well! I'm sorry to myself for have been missing out. A ton of experienced people with a ton of great conversations, and I'll be trying to go back and read as much of them as possible. I hope my absence has not left me out of the matching tattoos we were thinking about getting. (some reason I couldn't tag you Dan;) — tagged 4 members
We do full zirconia crowns and make money on them (so no real complaint there) however, would most agree the last thing we should be placing in the mouth is HARDEST man made material ever known? I understand we can design them out of occlusion, but we all know where it will end up~in occlusion. After years of understanding that we shouldn't chew ice, hard candy and the like, it seems full zirconia crowns goes against everything we know about natural dentition. Can anyone point me to some materials that would help me understand this? I believe full zirconia crowns to be the future amalgam filling....See more (except FAR more difficult to replace!) — tagged Zirconia
Hey folks, fairly uneducated on the whole "milling unit" idea. We have as of late had inquiries as to whether we mill cerec or e4d files. We just purchased a 3shape scanner and are waiting on its arrival. Could anyone give me some insight to what unit would accompany our scanner well? Thanks in advance! — tagged 3Shape, Inc. and Scanners
Lesson learned. Tried switching metals to satisfy a couple doctors needs of a more affordable alloy. FRACTURES. and lots of them, even after trying everything to fix it. Going back to Argebond 80. Lesson in "getting what you pay for". Good thing is we re-learned this and we were able to re-learn the doctor on the old saying as well:) ..............on another note, wish we would have went to the windy city. Next time LMT.........next time.
So I shared a few weeks ago that we lost a 4 doctor practice to an E4D. Call out of the blue over lunch today from a 5 doctor practice saying we came "highly recommended;)" from a couple of our other doctors and they would like sending us work...................seriously?! LORD, YOU ARE GOOD:)
âAnd my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesusâ (Philippians 4:19). Continued prayer for all "bridge-sters" that we would ALL have a great year so we can give back more.........so the government will stop doing a bad job of it for us;)
Anyone have some insight on effective ways to: 1. Tell a doctor he needs a crash course on impression taking 2. Technique guides/brochures/material recommendations to give to the doctor? I found out this doctor hops ALL OVER THE NATION because everyone remakes everything,..........and he can't figure it out. I don't have much working experience with him, so I'm trying to win his business by helping him, help us,.........help him.
Christmas party today. Bacon wrapped pork tenderloin, hot wings, chili, bbq meatballs, and more........... is it lunch time yet? Not my idea of "growing" the business, but a good one at that!
I've spoke with a few docs this morning, and had to bring up E4D and CEREC. Funny thing is, they all LOVE them. Half love making their own restorations, and half...........love replacing the other doctors "in office" restorations:)
Just received word our second largest account will be using an E4D as of January 2nd. When this happens, I've got a reeeeaaaal hard time looking at technology and CHINA as a good thing. We wonder why americans are without jobs? I personally will not go through a "self checkout" at the grocery store because of this. Venting....... Well, up your game folks because I'm coming after your accounts,........and apparently I'm not the only one.
