as far as Claus Dampmann's response to my letter to the editor, i would like him to explain how a retail...See more fee schedule from a large chinese outsource lab here in Georgia reads 106 dollars for porc to gold. This can not be , the retailer is paying less than that so i believe material are an issue in this discussion. i also believe that the playing field is not level. In avoiding the true cost of labor , health care , federal labor law , This creates an advantage to labs in china that have government controlled wages . Buildings funded by government. I believe when the playing field is level and general public is given a choice they will choose american . As far as iso 9000 , damus and other things that does not even guarantee anything out of china as they continue to thumb their noses at international law . They have and will continue to cheat , all you have to do is look at Lee fong motors admission of intellectual property theft on Ted Koppels special on China. Ted paraphrased Mr. font's favorite saying , " screw with Lee fong and he will screw with you". for me Mr.Dampmann if you want to support the chinese government you go ahead me i will continue to support my country by using American workers . My youtube video soon to released as i traveled this great country interviewing patients about their dental restorations being made in china , 99% most common response is " you got to be kidding i don't want that " so when the the state legislators are on the wrong side of the issue they will make transparency the law. We will rebuild our country through committed businessmen, who find ways to use the American worker. A nation that outsources its knowledge skill and judgement is a nation in decline .

Larry, you are right, but until the LAW says the patient is the end user, there will be little compliance....See more I remember a while back when hip implants were failing, and the lawyers were advertising on TV for a class action suit. How many patients know who made their $100,000 hip implant, let alone their $1500 crown?
The solution is THIS in my opinion:
1) Only Credentialed technicians may own and operate a lab
2) Dentists should not be exempt from FDA import rules
3) Enforce FDA registration and GMP's
4) Lab FDA number in patient record
5) Material disclosure to patient as the end user
State registration is an unfair burden on small labs, and is a "pay to play" penalty for labs who do mail order work. One FEDERAL regstration should be enough.

So I shared a few weeks ago that we lost a 4 doctor practice to an E4D. Just received word our second largest account will be using an E4D as of January 2nd. When this happens,...See more I've got a reeeeaaaal hard time looking at technology and CHINA as a good thing. We wonder why americans are without jobs? I personally will not go through a "self checkout" at the grocery store because of this. Venting....... Well, up your game folks because I'm coming after your accounts,........and apparently I'm not the only one.

"Like This" if you really think it's a good idea, and comment with your thoughts. I'd love to hear what...See more you guys think!!
I think LMT should not only have a classified add section for employers, but also a section where "experienced" technicians can post their resumes "anonymously" of course, and employers can contact them directly through an anonymous email address without hurting the reputation of the employee. I would even be willing to pay LMT a monthly subscription for this service as an employer. Their are not many resources out there that we have as employers to find qualified dental technicians and I think that this is a much needed tool for employers and also employees if they feel they are stuck in a job not knowing what other opportunities might be out there waiting for them. WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK??
thanks for your comments!
