• I do not do any Outsourcing or importing to any other country outside the USA. I get my work done here by local dental labs or shipped to California. Where I know they are not sending the work overseas.
Why would I have to register with the FDA. if all my product and procedures are done here are done by local dental labs helping me out doing RPD's and Flexi Valplast Partials ?
99% of my product is produced and finished in house by me exclusively. as in crowns. Yet 10 % of my crowns are now made on a computer and sent off via a digital file. 2 Days later I have a great fitting substructure...See more — tagged 3 topicsExcise Tax

I do all my own crown and bridge work and do not outsource MY crowns. I have one multi associate practice for the lion share of my business. I do everything from full arch uppers, Cosmetic multi unit Zirconia ( Procera and or Cercon ) singles. Things go so smooth with this place I am spoiled when I get accounts and see BAD, BAD dentistry even for single units that the dentist would like to restore.
I feel bad for the patients when the preps look like Lego blocks preparation design. I just cant figure out why some dentists cant get there heads out of there asses and just do good preps and better...See more

Dentists ask me how they can become busy in this economy. First off they thing that taking insurance is a bad thing. The booming-est dentist office I do work with take UPMC and other local dental insurance. They are not giving out charity. They pay top dollar for my lab work because of the quality and communication. I have know this dentist for 17 years and I can read his mind I know what he wants. But I am available for shades on complex anterior all ceramic restorations.

Code Meters and Dongle fees. Is it better to have the business I am giving to your production facility rather than sliding in a extra cost for replacement code meters every so many scans. NobleBiocare
Procera Zirconia has no extra hidden fees ! No extra fees no extra dongle charges.
I might just use the new crecon for Zr02 Bridges and Compartis metal copings and bridges. but would choose to use the Procera scanner for every other task in making YZ copings and custom implant abutments in Ti or Zirconia.

Make the Procera Piccolo an open system for metal copings and you have a deal !
Renishaw has a great machine in the Piccolo.

I have been trying out the Cercon Scanner and already see that the image quality and detail is just not as accurate as the Piccolo Scanner from Nobelbiocare....Renishaw.
Too bad Biomet does not accept scans from the good old Piccolo for metal copings,PMMA plastic.
If I had money + time I'd write software and make these older scanners able to make more products. This would open up a market for owners of these good systems for added services. This should have been addressed. Stupid dongle fees and license agreements also have to go away. Also prices are just freaking out of line for most scanners $30,000.00 come on ?
