    Is there such a thing as too much tissue contouring on dentures? I have noticed a tendency lately where the winners of full denture work "contests" seem to emphasize festooning around the denture teeth. If we look at normal healthy gingival margins we do not see large and bulbous tissue at the gingival margins. I saw Mr. Brian Carsons work at the bridges Best Denture Work site.     In regard to being a home based dental lab. I too am one of the 10 labs owners interviewed for this article. No one seems to ask why there are so many of us. Could it be the wages paid by the larger commercial labs? My first job at a lab(after 4 years in the military as a dental assistant/hygienist. was for minimum wage in 1977 ($3.00 an hour). after 3 years I was making $4.50 an hour.
