Colado NC is a predominantly base nickel-chromium ceramic alloy from IVOCLAR VIVADENT that features simplified casting characteristics and a light oxide. With a CTE value of 14.0 that doesn't require long-term cooling, and a low density of 8.2 gm/cm3, it meets critical, productivity-oriented fabrication requirements. As a Type 5 alloy, Colado NC is ideal for all crown types, short and long-span bridges and implant superstructures and available in 31-g, 250-g and 1000-g packages.

The material items and weights are checked against any information the customer provides; the customer is advised of any significant discrepancies. A customer receipt and process control forms are generated and, for traceability, a date and time stamp is applied on the receipt and a visual inspection is performed. Ivoclar uses the traditional fire assay and materials are burnt, milled, screened and blended, resulting in completely homogeneous samples for analysis. Oversize material after screening is melted and sampled.
