Yes...shading of zirconia is very important. And more importantly is consistent shading. If the milling center consistently gives me the wrong shades you can only imagine the problems it...See more causes for a lab. The lab either needs to correct the shade or have the work remilled which is could delay seating of the crown.
Our lab uses Sirona's inLab MCXL for milling, and have had some issues with milling zirconia crowns. We are having problems with marginal chipping during the milling process. Just wondering what everyone else is using for their zirconia staining... we've been using the Tanaka system, and it doesn't seem to give us very consistent results. Does anyone have any tips for using Tanaka stains, or have a better stain suggestion?Last answer February 26, 2012
