The IPS InLine system, while offering a full range of materials to support traditional layering of PFM restoration, also offers 2 distinctive materials perfectly suited to promote "lean manufacturing practices" in the dental laboratory. In this 2-day course, students will learn the principles and techniques for producing restorations with IPS InLine One (single layer ceramic) as well as IPS InLine PoM (Press-on-metal). The course curriculum will include: •Principles of substructure design and surface preparation •Applying and firing opaque to metal ceramic substructures •Application and firing of InLine One single layer ceramic materials •Wax-up and pressing techniques for InLine PoM •Anatomic contouring •Creation of natural surface texture •Staining and glazing techniques
