I’ve heard a lot of keynote presentations during my 35-year career at LMT and sometimes a speaker will really resonate and keep my wheels turning long after I’ve returned home. Diana Kander is one of those speakers. A best-selling author of The Curiosity Muscle and All in Startup: Launching a New Idea When Everything is on the Line, she is also, coincidentally, the daughter of lab owners.
During her keynote presentation, “How to Compete on Value Instead of Price in a Commodity Business,” at the NADL’s Vision 21 last month in Las Vegas, Kander gave insightful examples of well-known companies’ failures and the lessons that can be learned and applied to the laboratory business.
