Choi is passionate about being on the forefront of technology. In addition to being a member of the Dawson Academy Lab Association and Spear Study Club, he belongs to the Digital Dentistry Society (DDS), an educational and research group involved in cutting-edge digital dentistry. “DDS is doing some very interesting research on evaluating CT scans and using AI to design crowns and we’re providing data for that research,” says Choi, who founded the lab in 2015. In fact, one of his long-term goals is to grow large enough to establish an R&D arm of the laboratory.
